We are committed to providing a high quality legal service to all our clients. If for any reason you feel our service has fallen below this standard then we need you to tell us about it. This will help us improve the level of service that we provide to our clients.
Complaints Procedure
We will endeavour to sort out any complaint which you might have about the firm to your satisfaction.
To begin with, we normally expect people to raise any concerns they might have directly with the individual responsible for the day to day conduct of their case. We find that most difficulties can be resolved this way.

When contacting us please explain the problem in as much detail as you can, and also please remember to include the name of the person who has been working for you, and your name, address and telephone number.
If you are not a client of the firm then you should contact Jonathan Priestley in the first instance.
What will happen next?
We will write to you within 3 working days of receiving your complaint acknowledging its receipt and sending you a copy of this complaints policy.
We will then proceed to investigate your complaint. This may involve one or more of the following steps:
• getting any further information from you which we think we may need;
• putting what you have said to the person who has been dealing with your case and considering their response;
• a careful consideration of the file on which we have been working for you.
We will contact you again within 2 weeks of our acknowledgement informing you of the progress of our investigation. If appropriate we will invite you to meet with us as we often find this helps to get things sorted out to everyone’s satisfaction.
We would hope to be able to formally respond to the issues raised in your complaint within 4 weeks of receipt.
At the end of our investigation we will explain to you:
• whether we agree with your complaint;
• if we disagree with any part of your complaint, why this is; and
• what we propose to do to put right anything we have done wrong.
