Ellie Banks

Solicitor

Background

Ellie first decided to pursue a legal career during her time at sixth form, after an extra-curricular course in law sparked her interest. She joined 3volution as a paralegal in August 2021, before progressing on to a training contract.

After experiencing multiple practice areas during her training, Ellie discovered her enthusiasm for the fast-paced and highly technical nature of corporate transactional work.

Ellie is committed to working closely with each client to ensure that their specific commercial goals are reflected in each legal transaction. She particularly enjoys building long-term relationships that allow her to see clients’ growth and development first-hand.

Qualifications & expertise

Originally from Macclesfield, Ellie graduated from the University of Leeds with a first-class Bachelor of Laws. She achieved a Distinction in her postgraduate Legal Practice Course at The University of Law, before qualifying as a solicitor in September 2024.

Ellie covers all areas of corporate law and transactions, including business sales and acquisitions, re-organisations, share options, shareholders agreements, and venture capital and private equity transactions. Her specific interests include M&A work and private equity investments.

Three things you should know

Outside of work, Ellie likes:
1. Reading the latest book on her Goodreads list.
2. Crocheting her own clothes – she always has a few projects on the go at once!
3. Going to weekly dance classes, which is something she has enjoyed since she was young.
