Background

Jonathan is the founder of 3volution and has an extensive career spanning over 35 years, advising business owners, managers and investors in private companies.
Born and bred in Yorkshire, he believes in a straightforward and personal approach.

Jonathan provides clear and pragmatic corporate legal advice to businesses from start-up, through their growth and development phase, to a successful sale.

He brings a wealth of expertise in corporate transactions and is highly regarded for his in-depth knowledge, having been ranked as a Band 1 Lawyer by Chambers UK for Corporate M&A: SME/Owner-managed Businesses for the Yorkshire region in the UK Guide 2025.

Qualifications & expertise

Jonathan studied law at UCL, spending time in London before returning back to Yorkshire where he undertook an MBA at the University of Bradford.

He oversees all aspects of corporate law and transactions, including business sales and purchases, management buy-outs, shareholders agreements, re-organisations and venture capital and private equity investment transactions.
